Flight Experience

Balloon Safaris sunrise Hot Air Balloon flights operate daily, all year round. Your Hunter Valley Hot Air Ballooning adventure begins approximately 30 minutes before sunrise at the Peterson’s Champagne House located on the Corner of Broke Road and Wine Country Drive in Pokolbin. Ballooning is a weather dependent activity so you will be asked to call a Flight Check-in number the evening before your flight to confirm your flight status and meeting time.

Although our meeting location is Peterson’s Champagne House, the launch site on your flight date will be dependent on the early morning wind speed and direction. We have over two dozen launch sites all over the Valley and we will take you to the most appropriate site based on the morning’s conditions in order to give you the very best flight experience. Our usual flight regions are Pokolbin, Lovedale, Rothbury, Mount View, or Broke regions.

All Balloon Safaris Hot Air Balloon Rides conclude with a champagne celebration and/or an optional Gourmet Breakfast served at the Hunter’s premier Sparkling Winemakers, Peterson’s House. Over a sumptuous breakfast you have the opportunity to purchase your in-flight photo and will be presented with your Flight Certificate and discount offers to use during your visit in the Hunter.
