Hot air ballooning is a relaxing fun filled adventure suitable for everyone.

Our hot air balloon rides depart from Cessnock Airport in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country in Australia. Hot air ballooning takes place at dawn and last approximately one hour. However, you need to allow 3 - 4 hours for the whole experience.

After meeting and checking in, the pilot will determine the wind speed and direction and decide on a suitable launch site from one of over thirty sites located around the valley. All passengers will be transported to the launch site in our vehicles, and any non-flying participants are welcome to follow in their own cars.

At the launch site the hot air balloon will be rigged and inflated by our ground crew, with passengers able to assist if they choose to do so.

After a final pre-launch briefing, the balloon will ascend into the sky and pilot and passengers will take off. The ground crew will then follow the hot air balloon, to be on hand when your pilot brings you safely back to earth at the conclusion of the balloon ride.

After the hot air balloon has landed the balloon is packed away, and you are returned to Cessnock Airport to celebrate the flight with a glass of champagne.

While we prepare your flight certificates you are welcome to enjoy our complimentary balloonists breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, quiche, fruit cake and biscuits.

This provides an excellent time to sit back on the Airport Terrace, reflect on the morning's balloon flight and enjoy the company of your fellow balloonists, pilot and crew.
